Program of work
- Increase overall participation in events and membership by 10%.
- Provide professional development opportunities for marketing educators through the annual VAME conference
- Publish the VAME newsletter and maintain the VAME website to provide vital information to marketing educators
- Promote awareness of marketing programs and career and technical education
- Encourage members to be politically active in support of the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act by building legislative connections to promote positive action affecting education initiatives
- Maintain professional connection with the Virginia Association of Career and Technical Educators (VACTE)
- Encourage VAME members to support the Virginia DECA Foundation
- Sponsor annual student and teacher scholarships through the Virginia DECA Foundation
- Promote awareness of the student membership category to teacher preparation programs
